My Pet Memoir is a company dedicated to the preservation of memories of our pets as well as doing our part to help end animal cruelty.
Hello! My name is Jennifer and I started My Pet Memoir a few years ago out of a deep need to show my love and appreciation for all animals. I wanted to find a vehicle that would help others do so as well. I own a company, called A Thread Through Time, that helps people to tell their Life Stories. I am a personal biographer, and I absolutely love helping all types of people feel heard and also feel like they matter in this world by helping them leave their mark on it.
That being said, there was still this driving need in me to help animals. I've always felt it and have always been taught to ignore it as frivolous and silly. Animals?! "You need to pay your mortgage, there's no money in helping animals!" or "Become a vet, they make lots of dough." or worse "Animals don't have feelings, who cares about them?!" Ugh. So, I would quiet the pain I felt when I saw road kill or heard of animal abuse at the milking cow farms. I would quietly donate money to charities and spend every special occasion I could at The Wild Animal Park, somehow getting myself backstage at The Elephant Enclosure and crying all of the way home as I never wanted to leave.
Well, I finally decided to do something about it.
I thought for days, months, how to make a difference??? Then, I thought ~
"Well duh, I help humans scrapbook their lives, why don't I do the same for animals??!"
This way I am not only helping the humans memorialize their very loved pets, I can use the profits to donate to the charities I believe in! Bingo!
So, here is that very loved, very need filled company.
